You’re never too young or old to join the Senior Fellows Club!

The Club is very active, possibly the most active such club of all the Medical Royal Colleges. There is no need to be fully retired to join. In recent years, retirement from one’s substantive NHS post has seldom equated with complete retirement from medicine. Many carry on part-time in a variety of capacities: locum NHS or private clinical work; teaching or examining; on-going research; membership of the GMC’s  Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service, the erstwhile Fitness to Practise panels; membership of Social Security or War Pensions Appeal Tribunals; and so on. Many of us are taking this so-called “retirement” early and we look to recently such retired Fellows or retired Collegiate Members – or those imminently retiring – to join and keep us rejuvenated.

Retired Fellows or retired Collegiate Members from Sister Physician Royal Colleges who have moved to Edinburgh or environs can also join the Club.

The relevant application form can be accessed below.

Annual membership of the Club is just £15. There is also a charge for the pre-talk lunches and Annual Guest Lunch and for the Annual Outing.

To join the club or for any further information please contact  sfc@rcpe.ac.uk or 0131-247-3652
