RCPE Manchester will deliver a programme of clinical and academic learning, training and research in the north of England.

The Collaboration will create new opportunities for the sharing of knowledge and expertise between the two organisations including:

  • Seminars on a range of ‘hot topic’ issues
  • Sharing the college’s educational programme, including live-streamed events
  • Regional college meetings held in Manchester
  • Collaborating to develop educational courses and continuing professional development opportunities
  • Development of postgraduate qualifications
  • Collating opinion on local health, education, service and research issues
  • Collaborating to influence UK health policy

Manchester is also home to the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre and Clinical Research Facility which connects world-leading researchers based at The University of Manchester and four NHS Trusts in Greater Manchester, with a joint vision to drive forward the transformation of scientific breakthroughs into life-saving treatments and care for patients.

Progressing innovation & understanding in medicine

RCPE Manchester launchA board has been established to guide and oversee the development of RCPE Manchester’s programme and the venture is being staffed by an academic lead from MAHSC, a programme lead from the college and a programme co-ordinator.

A two year programme of clinical and academic events has commenced. The RCPE Manchester activities include a series of RCPE Evening Medical Updates and Symposium. See our forthcoming 2018-2019 programme of events for more details.
