Visit the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and
take a behind-the-scenes tour, in an event which offers
the rare opportunity to discover the architecture and
stories behind 300 years of College history.

The College’s buildings boast elaborate ceilings,
beautiful fireplaces, stunning architecture and
contemporary artwork. The grand staircase, Great Hall,
busts of illustrious figures from the history of medicine
and portraits can all be found in the purpose-built
nineteenth-century College building.

The oldest building on site, one of the earliest built in
Edinburgh’s New Town, was designed in the eighteenth
century by Robert Adam and Robert Ord, Chief Baron
of the Scottish Court of the Exchequer and it sits
comfortably alongside the College’s more modern,
twentieth- and twenty-first-century additions.

The College Doors Open Day will take place from 11am to 4pm, with last entrance at 3.30pm. There is no need to book, please just turn up.
