Lazzaroni, Anthony

Anthony Lazzaroni was born in Lugga, Italy in 1815 and migrated to Edinburgh around 1840. From his workshop at 20 South Frederick Street he produced classical and religious statuary and busts. His brother Nicholas also worked as a figure-maker in Liverpool. Lazzaroni died on 3 February 1866 and his grave can be seen at Canongate Kirkyard.
