The Remote and Rural Adviser is an Office Bearer post within the College and reports to the Director of Quality, Research and Standards. The Remote and Rural Adviser (RRA) will take the lead on remote and rural affairs for the College across a number of dimensions with support for the portfolio of the postholder provided by the Quality, Research and Standards Department of the College.

Key areas of responsibility include -

  • Establishing and chairing a virtual reference group           
  • Contributing to remote and rural perspectives on our educational programme;
  • Encouraging research into remote and rural challenges
  • Contributing to developments in integration agendas in remote and rural areas
  • Contributing to resource and workforce sustainability developments

Interested candidates should be of consultant level and a Fellow of the College.  This is senior post for a Fellow who wishes to help shape and promote the work of the College. Day-to-day communications are via email, but attendance is required at a number of events and meetings.

This position is unremunerated, but reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
