Lisa Rooke

Lisa is Head of External Relations and Policy at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and established the Quality Governance Collaborative with Professor Michael Deighan. She is a communications and government affairs professional who has worked for almost a decade in the healthcare and policy environment in Scotland and across the UK, including for the College and for the British Medical Association. She previously worked as a strategic communications manager in the retail sector in Scotland and Northern Ireland undertaking public affairs activities to achieve business expansion for Asda/Walmart. Prior to this she was a consultant with the government affairs & media relations practise of the law firm, DLA Piper, creating and delivering public affairs and media strategies for a range of clients in the retail, finance, health and safety, and international development sectors at Westminster, Holyrood, and within local government.
