The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh congratulates our former Vice President, Dr John Wilson, on his MBE for services to healthcare.
Dr Wilson was Vice President of the College from 2012 to 2015 and has been a major contributor to postgraduate medical education, an examiner for MRCP(UK) throughout his consultant career, and a valued teacher and supervisor of young doctors.
Dr Wilson is a consultant gastroenterologist in NHS Fife, where he established and developed a clinical service for patients attending Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, and provided emergency support for medical patients across Fife as a general physician.
