Vacancy with:
Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh

As our office bearers reach the end of their terms, we are recruiting for several new members of the Editorial Board of the newly re-designed Journal of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (JRCPE). An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fellow, from the UK or overseas, to join the team as Associate History and Humanities Editor.

This role offers great flexibility for a Fellow wishing to contribute to the College and gain additional professional experience as it can be managed remotely and accommodated around professional and personal commitments (within deadline requirements). You will work alongside the History and Humanities section editor, Dr Allan Beveridge, with a particular focus on commissioning papers related to medical humanities.

The College provides in-house professional editorial and developmental support; the Senior Production Editor has responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Journal and works collaboratively with the Editor-in-Chief and Section Editors to ensure they are supported in undertaking their roles. The Editors will also receive administrative support from our Editorial Assistant who manages the process of manuscript submission, peer review and communication with the authors.

Informal enquiries should be directed to Jeanette Stevenson, Head of Education and Training, or Dr Allan Beveridge, should you wish to discuss the role in more detail.

Jeanette Stevenson can be contacted at j.stevenson@rcpe.ac.uk or 0131 247 3628. Dr Beveridge can be contacted at allanwbeveridge@hotmail.com

Formal expressions of interest, stating why you are interested in the role and what you would bring to it, accompanied by a short CV should be emailed to Jeanette at j.stevenson@rcpe.ac.uk by 9 am on Monday 13 November 2017.

Application Closing Date:
