You Said, We Did
Against this background, the RCPE surveys Fellows and Members on a range of areas and is keen to report the findings of these surveys back to Fellows and Members. This will allow you to learn the results of such surveys and, most importantly, how we have taken your views into account and acted upon them. In addition, we are happy for Fellows and Members to cite our survey results locally in support of professional matters. We fully recognise the limitations on your time and try to keep our surveys short, succinct and of a frequency which will not engender survey fatigue. We are grateful to receive your comments and for enabling us to represent your views. Recent RCPE Surveys
Trainees & Members’ Survey PanelThe Trainees & Members’ Survey Panel is an online panel of over 150 RCPE Members in the UK, representative by point in training, who have committed to completing 4 15-minute surveys each year on a variety of areas in relation to UK training and developing RCPE policy. If you are an RCPE Collegiate Member, Associate or e-Associate, could similarly spare 15 minutes to influence the future of medical training and would like to join this panel please e-mail g.mcalister@rcpe.ac.uk

The RCPE recognises that it is well-placed to influence external developments
in relation to medical training, education, standards and health care
policy (at a Scottish and UK level) and that it’s greatest strength,
in this regard, is our Fellows and Members whose cross-specialty views
and experiences we seek to represent. We are also keen to ensure that
the services provided to Fellows and Members are relevant, effective
and meet your needs, and to provide you with regular opportunities to
suggest ways by which you believe the benefits of Fellowship and Membership
could be enhanced.
The RCPE is also frequently invited to respond to national (Scottish
and UK) policy consultations on a range of health areas. Such responses
are informed by the views of our elected Council, Committees, RCPE surveys,
the views of individual Fellows and Members identified from our database
by specialty and interest and occasional open meetings.
