The Director of Continuing Professional Development and Revalidation is a senior post within the organisation and reports to the Director of Standards within the Quality Research and Standards Department.

Responsibilities will include –

  • Contributing on behalf of RCPE to the development of CPD and Revalidation Federation policy
  • Representing RCPE on AoMRC CPD and Revalidation Committee
  • Contributing to the College CPD Programme via the RCPE Education Strategy Group
  • Contributing to the approval of CPD for Educational events in conjunction with Federation
  • Supporting physician queries on CPD and Revalidation
  • Promoting CPD and Revalidation internationally

The Director of CPD and Revalidation works closely with members of staff in the Quality Research and Standards and the Education Departments.

Interested candidates should be of consultant level and a Fellow of the RCPE.  This is an excellent post for a Fellow who wishes to help promote the College and influence the development of future CPD and Revalidation policy. Day-to-day communications are via email, but attendance is required at a number of events and meetings.

Job Description

This position is unremunerated, but reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
