The post holder will play a central role in the co-ordination and delivery of our successful online MSc in Internal Medicine, set up jointly by the University of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. The Programme is aimed at doctors taking MRCP and/or choosing specialties, and has 130 current students from 35 countries.

The post would be suitable for a doctor holding a training number in a medical or closely allied specialty, or for a doctor who has recently completed training. This post will be 1.0 WTE with the option to appoint suitable candidates who wish to work part-time (between 0.5 and 1.0 WTE). This post is an ideal opportunity for doctors wishing to pursue an interest in medical education providing experience in most aspects of teaching and assessment design and delivery as well as the administration that supports them.

You should have good academic record and an interest in the delivery of high quality teaching to doctors preparing to take early postgraduate examinations. Possession of good IT skills and an interest in the emerging opportunities for knowledge transfer created by modern media and methods would be advantageous.
