Background: Consultation ARM 44 sought views on the reclassification from P to GSL of Galpharm Hayfever Eye drops containing sodium cromoglycate 2%. Sodium cromoglycate 2% eye drops have been extensively used as a prescription treatment. They have also been widely available as pharmacy medicines since 1993 for the relief and treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic conjunctivitis in adults and children.
