Note on the flyleaf reads: "I bought this book at Dr. Whytt's sale for it contains ... the Dr's own MS notes when a student of old Dr. Young's Lectures on his own private practice ... Dr. Whytt and I [i.e. Dr Boswell] were contemporary fellow students of Dr. Young's, an. 1730-31 ... "
