Examination delivery The RCPE continues to administer MRCP(UK) Part 1 centres in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Leicester, Sheffield and Aberdeen and Part 2 Written centres in Edinburgh, Newcastle and Manchester. Technology to identify cheating candidates is now routinely used in all centres hosting the Part 1 and Part 2 written examinations. Between September 2009 and October 2010 the RCPE hosted the PACES examination in 17 different centres in the UK. The Western General Hospital Clinical Skills Assessment Centre (CSAC) in Edinburgh continues as the busiest PACES centre internationally, with more than 365 candidates examined over 28 days in 2009. PACES is also run successfully in Al Ain, Cairo, Chennai, Dubai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, Muscat and Singapore. The RCPE continues to offer extended written feedback to failing candidates recommended for counselling by the examiners and all others who request it.
