College examination papers: poisons, sewage treatment and syphilis

Examination of the College's first candidate for Licentiateship took place in 1682, and it was 'upon Severall materiall quesions viz. De purgatione et venisectione' (i.e. bloodletting).

Examinations were reformed several times over the centuries to reflect prevailing medical understanding, the below examination papers give an insight into medical practice of the 1890s.
