NHS England
Thursday, 22 December, 2016

The consultation outlines how NHS England will work with patients and the public to enable them to influence the health services they use and seeks experiences of how well the current arrangements are working.

The College response was informed by members of our Lay Advisory Committee and while supportive of the principles, we highlight the need to make the most of the skills and experience of patient and public representatives in practice to ensure they can make a full and worthwhile contribution, as well as the importance of NHS England taking a human rights based approach.
