The Northern Ireland Department of Health is consulting on draft regulations to restrict the age of sale of nicotine inhaling products, including electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), to over eighteens.

The College agrees that all devices capable of delivering nicotine should come under the regulations. Our response states that there is also a case for reviewing the sale of devices which do not deliver nicotine but do deliver a variety of flavoured liquids, which could be attractive to under 18s.
