Scottish Ministers have a duty to prepare and publish standards and outcomes applicable to health, care and social work services. This consultation relates to proposed draft new Standards and outcomes, which will be taken into account by the Care Inspectorate and Healthcare Improvement Scotland when carrying out their inspection function and when making registration decisions.
The College response welcomes and agrees with the proposed Standards, but notes they are very broad and aspirational, and without appropriate planning and resourcing will not be achievable.
