Obesity  levels  continue  to  rise  around  the  world,  leading  to  a multitude of health problems. While many ‘medical’ attempts at managing obesity have proven ineffective in the long term, some types of surgery for weight control have been shown to result in significant and sustained weight loss. In this article Mr  David  Galloway  and  Mr  Paul Witherspoon  outline  the  different  procedures and their risks and benefits.
