Cancer Innovation Challenge consultation to help shape the funding competition of the cancer data work stream of the Challenge to ensure that the outcomes from the project have the maximum potential to effect real world impact on cancer patient care and treatment in Scotland and beyond.
The College response notes the importance of the quality of, and access to data. Possible obstacles include confidentiality, consent, data management and IT. It is important that NHS staff do not have to complete additional paperwork, and data should be presented and shared in a transparent and meaningful way with the population.
