The Director of Quality, Research and Standards is an Office Bearer post within the College and reports to Council. Support for the portfolio of the postholder is provided by the Quality, Research and Standards Department of the College.

Key areas of responsibility include -

  • Clinical Standards and Guidelines             
  • Education and training to support quality improvement, standard setting and research
  • Collaborative projects on standards, quality improvement activities and research
  • Newly launched RCPE Manchester strategy and programme development

Interested candidates should be of consultant level and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.  This is a senior post for a Fellow who wishes to help shape and promote the work of the College. Day-to-day communications are via email, but attendance is required at a number of events and meetings including Council.

This position is unremunerated, but reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
