Clinical Fellowship in Acute Medicine

The College is seeking a trainee in acute medicine interested in supporting a 2-3 year programme of work developing best practice models, standards and workforce planning data in acute medicine in Scotland. The project which is supported by the Scottish Government would be ideal for a trainee seeking a MPhil/MD/PhD, provisional approval for which is available through the University of Edinburgh.

Consensus Statements

The RCPE routinely convenes international consensus conferences in areas in which the evidence is grey or in which there is clinical uncertainty with a view to developing consensus statements which can be rapidly disseminated to a clinical level and implemented in practice. In recent years, such statements have covered areas as diverse as stroke treatment and service delivery, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and early Chronic Kidney Disease and have been used to inform Scottish and UK health policy in addition to being used in clinical practice around the world.
