At the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh we are delighted
each year to host our hugely popular Charity Christmas Lecture.
2010
was a fantastic triumph when we secured the renowned Mark Beaumont, The
Man Who Cycled the World, who delivered an inspiring and
amusing account of his adventures.
Our aim for the evening is to raise funds on behalf of a charity
nominated by the speaker and in 2010 generated over £3,000
for Orkidstudio
Open to members of the public, we do not charge to attend but
Invite donations;
Offer fabulous raffle prizes;
Encourage very generous bids in the charity auction
Guests are welcomed into the College to enjoy a glass of wine
and mince pies before settling down to hear the speaker.
Previous speakers have included:
The eminent Lord Professor Robert Professor Winston
Renowned journalist and author Brian Keenan
Scottish comedian and presenter Fred MaCaulay
