How you can join the College
The
RCPE is a leading body for physicians in the UK and internationally
with around 12,000 Fellows and members. Membership entitles
you to voice your opinions through e-mail consultations and meetings
of members, so that the College can represent your views on training,
revalidation and health delivery to the governments of the UK. Membership
also allows you free access to RCPE
online education, an interactive
education portal that offers online and blended learning modules, along
with recorded lectures from RCPE education events. Members also benefit
from large savings on fees for specialist
training, educational events and
the hire of College facilities in
Edinburgh. In addition, Members receive the quarterly Journal
of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and
can access a range of services in our excellent Historic
Library.
The main gateway to Collegiate membership is passing the MRCP(UK) examination which we jointly run with the Glasgow and London Colleges. Other junior doctors and medical students may receive many of the benefits of membership by becoming e-Associates or Associates. Fellowship is awarded to those with consultant or equivalent status across the world.
I very much hope that you will join and I look forward to meeting
you. If you have any questions after reading these pages please email secretary@rcpe.ac.uk.
